Anna Marie Armstrong, Esq. Director, Partners, Groups, Mergers
Anna is a graduate of Brown University and the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. After law school, Anna clerked for a District Court judge and was a litigation associate at a prominent mid-sized firm in San Francisco. Anna joined Mestel & Company in 2009 with over 10 years of experience placing lawyers both in-house and at law firms. She speaks frequently about diversity issues in the legal profession.

David Bennett Managing Director, Partners, Groups, Mergers
David Bennett works with partners and teams of attorneys who want to confidentially explore their opportunities in the partner marketplace in the San Francisco Bay area and the Silicon Valley. This includes practitioners in IP, corporate, Labor and various types of litigation. He also handles retained search assignments for some of the most important law firms in the United States seeking to increase their partner ranks in the region. Prior to joining Mestel & Company as the founding member of its northern California partners, groups and mergers practice, David worked in partner search at another leading national attorney search firm. David brings his experience as a businessman and entrepreneur to the business of recruiting for law firms. While in graduate school, David co-founded Omega Performance Corporation, one of the fastest growing small businesses in the U.S. Omega developed a clientele of more than 1000 financial institutions in North America, Europe and Asia and was recognized as an INC. 500 Company. David has a keen interest in technology and in 2003, produced what is believed to be among the first live internet web seminars (pod casts) on labor and employment issues, targeted at GC’s and in house counsel, in conjunction with the California State Bar. Recently, he helped the San Francisco Bar Association ‘podcast’ a live teleconference with leading Pakistani lawyers. David lives in Marin County with his wife of thirty years and is an avid hiker, cyclist and skier.
