Adrianne Kalyna Managing Director, Partners, Groups, Mergers
Prior to joining Mestel’s Chicago office, Adrianne was an Executive Vice President at a nationwide executive search firm, handling senior executive searches. After graduating from the University of Arizona (Phi Beta Kappa) and then earning her J.D. at Arizona State University, she became a litigation partner at a law firm in Phoenix, Arizona. She was then appointed the United States Trustee for the District of Arizona, a position she held for six years before becoming an executive search professional.
Benson K. Friedman, Esq. Director, Partners, Groups, Mergers
Benson is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., magna cum laude), where he served on the editorial board of the Michigan Law Review. He also received degrees from the University of Chicago (B.S.) and Stanford University (M.S.). After clerking for the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Benson worked as an associate for Sidley Austin and Schopf & Weiss in Chicago. He later became a partner at McDermott Will & Emery in Chicago, where he practiced complex commercial litigation. Before coming to Mestel & Company, Benson co-founded a start-up company focused on programs for family health and fitness. At Mestel, Benson focuses his work on recruiting partners for law firms. Benson’s experience gives him a strong understanding of high level legal practice and broad knowledge of the Chicago legal market.
L. Roger Boord, Esq. Director, Partners, Groups, Mergers
Roger is a graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude) and the University of Virginia (B.A., magna cum laude) and also attended Cambridge University. After clerking for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Roger worked as a litigation associate for Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. He later became a partner at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg in Chicago, where he practiced complex securities and employment litigation. Roger then specialized in defending employment cases and class actions at Frost Brown Todd in Cincinnati, Ohio. There, he was selected as an Ohio “Rising Star,” one of the top 2.5% of the lawyers under 40 in that state, by Ohio’s senior “Super Lawyers.”
